As a child Effie Grant Stevens learned to cook with her grandmother in her native Liberia. Foregoing a computer programming career she enrolled in the Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College where she graduated in 2002. She currently works at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott as a Chef, after completing a four year internship there.
Her specialties include Cajun, American, French, and Thai dishes as well as an array of African dishes. Effie enjoys catering during her spare time, and loves to create exotic dishes including various vegetable, cheese and Fruit displays
